lighting design - summer course
An intensive course that aims to show the fundamentals of lighting design as well as the importance of how we conceive the lighting project, due to the effects of it on people’s life and social relationships.

The course will be held from 20th of July until 21st of August. Five weeks to enjoy the typical environment of south of Spain while you learn the latest trends and technologies in ligthing design.
The course will start with the fundamentals of lighting design (physics of the light, human eye perception,...) in order to continue with the human factors in lighting design.
After that will be presented a short history of lamps design, the main types of lighting fixtures and technologies, and a presentation about the current trends in lighting showing the top quality companies for both lamps design and lighting systems, studying all of them in detail.
The course will introduce also lessons about social effects of lighting design, lighting and space planning, ligthing+art.
During the course the students will have to develop a lighting design project, learning the technical details of a lighting design project, presentation techniques and ligthing calculation software. In this way the student could apply the contents of the lessons into practice with the help of the tutor.
Cabe decir que el profesorado será bilingüe, por lo que las dudas y comentarios podrán ser atendidos en español, así como el seguimiento de los proyectos realizados por los participantes.
